The best courses to take are in the Science and technology field. You should be less concerned about easy and focus more on what courses will help land you the job that you are wanting. Hard work and dedication will take you a lot further than looking for easy. Feel confident that you can tackle what is presented to you and study hard to reach your maximum potential. It will pay off in the end. Once you are settled with your career choice, investigate/research and visit schools to see if you will be a good fit. Remember, life may have obstacles along the way, remain steadfast and you will succeed!

There really isn't a position in which one gets paid solely for reading. Reading would be a job duty, not a career or a specific job. Two careers that come to mind are being a Voice Over Artist/Voice Actor or working in a Publishing Company where they publish books. Both take quite a bit of training, education as well as experience before you can progress in these fields of work.
To work at a Publishing House, you would want to attend college and major in something like English, American Literature or Literature or even Journalism. You would want to get a Bachelors Degree and strongly consider to continue for a Masters Degree. You'll want the Masters Degree due to how competitive positions in the publishing or journalism fields are. The Masters Degree might open doors faster than a Bachelors Degree.
To become a voice over artist, a voice actor, you would need to take Voice Over training and continue with it until you feel ready and learn how to make your demo reel. You would be reading aloud on recordings. This would be primarily for Audio Books and you would be reading the book as you record it. You would also need to learn the business end of this career and get some experience if you are not already a stage or screen actor.
To your inquiry about making money fast (really at any age) and what American school courses get you the most money, I have to say that there is no answer to that. Money doesn't come "easy".
