Indeed, every trade can be mastered without formal education, yet I wholeheartedly endorse the blending of formal education with practical experience in any field, particularly in the electrical sector. The "Electrician" label encompasses a myriad of roles, and it's crucial to focus on learning what's truly necessary for the role you're aiming for. Pursuing formal education significantly boosts your chances of securing a paid apprenticeship or an entry-level position, as per the Bureau of Labor Statistics website's forecast for 2033. Don't let the idea of formal education intimidate you. The rewards and benefits will be evident when you're sought out for your expertise.
Best wishes, future electrician!

Yes you can with hands on . But to be truthful your better off going to trade school to get the right education for that trade hands on on gives you so much learning and it takes you a lot longer to learn electrical that way go to trade school get the book education 1st it pays off better that way and you also will receive a certificate you can show . Without trade school it would take you a long time to even work at the electric company . With trade school you can get a great job right away . Go to school my friend

Sure, you can learn anything by doing it yourself or on the job, but I truly think that going to a specialized school to learn a skill can give you an advantage and make you stand out from the rest.
