MIT also has a Science, Technology and Society (STS) department as part of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Even if you later find that you wish to concentrate or major in a particular science, all undergraduates are required to complete a distribution of humanities, arts and social science coursework and (some may be surprised to learn) MIT has excellent programs in such fields (I majored in Economics). You may already be familiar, given your interest in STS, but I recommend reading The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Thomas Kuhn.
