What are things you can do during and or after college?

I’m 16 and a senior in high school. I currently have a job and it’s going great, but from what I hear from my college friends, having a job isn’t the greatest idea. I really enjoy having an output during my studies and I’d hate to lost that aspect of my life. Are there other activities besides clubs and events that I can take part in, or is there a method of balancing your work and studies?

Good, you are planning ahead! Once you have your college schedule of classes, you can then determine how much time you will have for other activities. Many students manage part-time jobs on campus. Another alternative is to look for short-term or one-day volunteer opportunities. This will give you additional experience to add to a future resume.

Think about your goals, both long and short-term and try to balance your time around them. Keep asking others for advice and enjoy life!

With every good wish.

Lots of folks still have a job during college! I personally was a part-time referee for intramural basketball for two years during college. I also knew people who worked on campus as tutors, and off-campus in a wide variety of places. College can get quite busy, however. So, it's important to prioritize what is most important.
To balance work and studies, I liked to maintain a calendar, and use Todo apps to keep track of assignments, exams, etc. This way I could make sure I had enough time to spend on things like work, social activities, etc.
