You can find many lists of schools with well-known reputations and positive reviews. When finding the right school for yourself, you should certainly conduct research of your own. What kinds of programs do they offer in regards to your academic interests? Do you prefer to live in a broader city? Or a college town? What size classroom do you prefer to learn in? What does the faculty to student ratio look like? These questions offer a helpful start to narrow down your college search.

Jeiana’s Answer

Based on your profile I can see that you are from Texas, so I will list the best schools for education in your state of residence:

-University of Texas at Austin= highly ranked and offers variety of education programs

-Texas Tech University, Lubbock= Broad range of academic programs with supportive environment

-Southern Methodist University, Dallas= Has a school of education within with excellent education programs

-University of Houston= Has strong education programs and a diverse student body

-Texas A&M University, College Station= Supportive college community and has well recognized education programs

-Del Mar College= Provides a variety of opportunities and programs for students to explore including education programs

I suggest doing research on your own by going to the institutions' website that you are interested in and learning more about their culture, programs they offer, as well as reputation. I also consider looking up reviews from students that actually attend that school to get a better insight of how your experience will be. If cost is a concern for you, consider going to out-of-state colleges if that is an option for you, or start with a 2-year then transfer to a 4-year university.
