You have many options! Students who major in criminal justice, psychology, sociology or even communications develop great foundations for becoming a police officer. The good news is that many universities offer these majors which would allow you to focus more on the type of university that you would like to attend such as: small vs large university; location; costs; etc... In addition, to selecting your type of university, it could also be helpful to stay up on current events related to law enforcement. What problems or issues can you identify? What solutions would you offer or suggest to solve issues? Examining real topics can open your experience and thinking process which could assist you in seeing the big picture in the world of law enforcement ---leadership!
