This could be because of a stressful work environment where I feel swamped with responsibilities, or simply because life is moving at a pace that leaves me gasping for breath.
In such moments, I find solace in focusing on one thing within my power. It could be something as simple as deciding what to have for dinner. This decision then becomes the foundation of my game plan. If I decide to cook, I start formulating a grocery list, set a target time for my meal, and then work backwards from there. If dinner is at 7pm, I know I need to be at the grocery store by 5pm, start cooking by 6pm, and be ready to eat by 7pm. This simple act of planning restores a sense of control and shows me that by breaking tasks into manageable chunks, I can accomplish what I need to.
Life is a series of choices, and when they pile up or you don't know where to start, it can feel overwhelming. But it's crucial to remember that choosing to do nothing will likely leave you in the same spot tomorrow. If you're comfortable with that, then taking a breather is perfectly fine.
