Jenna, your question is truly fantastic, and it's wonderful that you're pondering over this. Achieving balance in life and setting aside time for self-care is crucial. You certainly don't want to exhaust yourself too soon. Always carve out moments for personal relaxation, be it unwinding quietly, enjoying a soothing massage, or engaging in any activity that relaxes you. No matter how many hours you work each week, always reserve some time to de-stress.

Hi Jenna, great question! Maintaining work-life balance is key to thriving as both a professional and a human being. Keeping an up-to-date agenda/calendar can be extremely helpful in keeping track of tasks to complete and dividing up your time appropriately. Developing a strong routine can help you stay on track and make sure you don't miss important deadlines or lose time needed to dedicate to obligations. Be sure to also build some self-care/hobbies into your schedule and routine. The better able you are to take care of yourself, the better able you will be to show up as your best self for whatever challenge or obligation is in front of you. Maintaining your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health can go a long way to preventing burn out and allowing you to perform at your best.
I will use this advice as I prepare for my career.

Hi Jenna! I love how you are looking for ways to balance yourself out. It can be hard going into the work life. I believe setting clear boundaries with your friends and family will help significantly. You don’t have the same amount of time you used to have if you were attending school full time. However, do make time for yourself and practice self-care. Depending on what your new job or career path takes you, make sure to give it your best and always seek support. You won’t be able to learn everything in one day. It takes time and practice to learn your role. If this is your first job, don’t be quick to take on so many responsibilities where you end up out working yourself and learn to say no or when you can you will get to it (if there aren’t any deadlines). Learn to prioritize your tasks from what is due soon or right away to what can actually wait. Finally, embrace the learning curve! It’s normal to feel challenged during this transition. Give yourself grace as you adjust to your new life. Be kind to yourself!
