Learning math is exercise for your mind and good and important for any career. Mastering and applying the concepts and rules to solve concrete problems is applicable to any job, especially coding. Consider that you might spend hours working out in the gym lifting weights which has nothing to do with your favorite sport such as soccer, but it helps.
Adding that a person who enjoys math will enjoy coding and it's important that you enjoy your career.
