Nizar’s Answer
When it came time for me to choose my career path, I gathered all the possibilities that matched my skills and passions. But I also conducted some research to identify future-proof professions, as many sectors were undergoing significant changes at that time. This is particularly relevant today, with the rise of technologies like GenAI, a hybrid workforce, and the emphasis on work-life balance. I strongly recommend you do the same, especially if you're considering a career that could be heavily affected or even replaced by emerging technologies, and one that requires international cooperation. Wishing you all the best!

Hi Jacob,
I think the best thing to do when you are confused about the career you would like is to volunteer in that field. I thought that I wanted to be a nurse so I volunteered at my local hospital to really find out if that was the type of work I wanted to do. I also considering teaching, i decided to volunteer as a girl scout leader to find out if I could manage a small group of individuals and teach. I decided that both of things were things I enjoyed but not something I wanted pursue for a fulltime 8 hour day. You can get a lot of experience volunteering and also talking with a mentor, someone in the field that you're interested in. Ask them what their normal day looks like at work. That should give you a lot of insight into the field you're interested in.
