Dental assistants face the public, so you would need to be someone who likes working directly with people.

Dental patients are often nervous or scared. If you have a calm and empathetic manner, you can help to reassure them.

If you have a good general education (including English and Mathematics) an interest in oral health, willingness to learn, the ability to work within a team and an appreciation of scrupulous hygiene, you'll be well on your way!
