What new recipes and ingredients will I learn in culinary arts?
I never graduated in high school but I'm trying to work on that, but my favorite classes in high school were math, and science so I hope I'm able to apply that to certain measurements in culinary arts

Math and science are like two friendly ingredients in every recipe you cook. If you're aiming to be a kitchen superstar, you'll find yourself frequently using measurements and controlling portions. And guess what? It's a whole lot of fun!

Hi Thomas,
First, I am happy to learn you are working on completing your high school diploma. Once you do this I suggest you look into a local community college to begin your education in culinary arts.
As far as ingredients and recipes, are you cooking now? Are you shopping in supermarkets and specialty stores to look at various ingredients for different types of cuisines? You can do this now. Being curious and creative are important traits, especially in cooking. Check out cookbooks at your library to see the different areas and cultures in cooking. Try some recipes now! Eat at different restaurants to taste foods.
Best wishes to you in your journey toward culinary arts! Bon appetit!
