Hello Naomi, I bring to the table over two decades of expertise in scientific research, particularly in the domain of drug discovery spanning various therapeutic sectors. Your decision to delve into the field of nanotechnology is notably specialized. Have you contemplated the specific career path you wish to embark on? Are you intrigued by the prospect of working in a hands-on laboratory environment, or does the idea of a desk job as a business development professional or intellectual property associate appeal to you more? For instance, would you consider a role as an R&D scientist, specializing in the application of nanotechnology for the treatment of metabolic and other diseases? Or perhaps you're interested in the production of biopharmaceutical products, such as vaccines or biologics?
My advice would be to pinpoint your interests and pursue internships within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. I recommend utilizing social networking platforms like LinkedIn to aid your search. It would be beneficial to conduct a thorough investigation into the responsibilities and requirements of each potential career, allowing you to identify the path that most aligns with your interests.
Perform a LinkedIn search for Scientist, Research Associate, Senior Research Associate, Associate Scientist roles
Perform a Goggle search for internships at Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Companies such as Merck, Amgen, Pfizer, Lilly, etc.
