I want to open my own business(es) but obviously its not just as easy as jumping right into that after graduation. So where do I start the process?

Hey Jaylen, Starting a business after graduation is an awesome idea! Take your time and don't stress. You can begin by interning or working in a field you like to gain experience and make connections. Meanwhile, use your free time to learn about business, do market research, or pick up skills you need through online courses. Join industry events to meet potential partners and test your ideas without spending too much. Trying out a small side business first is also a smart move.

Sneha’s Answer

Hey Jaylen! After graduation, the first step toward starting your own business is gaining real-world experience and building a strong foundation. You can start by working in an industry related to your business idea to learn how things operate and build connections. At the same time, begin researching your market, refining your idea, and creating a basic business plan. Look for mentors, join entrepreneurship networks, and explore startup programs or incubators that can support your journey. Starting small while learning along the way can lead to bigger opportunities and long-term success. Good luck!

Cheng’s Answer

Doing a SWOT analysis before starting your business is a smart move. The risk is high, and 95% of new businesses don't make it past three years with a profit. Consider how much risk you can handle and how long you can keep going. You might fail, but at least you won't have regrets.

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you would like to become an entrepreneur.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Have you thought about what industry you want to start your business? Think about the industry you have interest or strength
2. Do some analysis on the industry, eg entry criteria, competition status, any alternative or substitute, etc
3. Attend industry related courses and management courses
4. Work in the industry some time to understand the business model and establish people network
5. Start the industry online first if possible
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!
