As an artist, how do I make money while also doing what I'm passionate about?
I want to be a graphic designer after college, but I don't know where to begin with finding a stable job that also allows me creative freedom. I understand that I won't necessarily love every assignment I get, but I don't want to spend my career bored or uninspired. What is the key to finding financial stability as an artist?

Some artist knows people, some already have a income, while very few is not notice. They make videos teaching, write books about how to paint draw, and the ones like fine other ways to keep doing what we love by other thing we are passion about. I sold my art, displayed them in art gallery’s and put them on display at Facebook. I found it’s not easy to be known for your art. Learn other skills where you can use your art like web design, graphic art, color coordinator, you can still design your art. Children book covers or romance book covers. And still show your art in gallery’s. You can get paid you just need to stand out.

Every artist has the same dilemma. I recommend you watch the documentary "Sketches by Frank Gehry" and see how he dealt with it. Of course, he is the Unicorn. The one who made it. For the rest of us, you almost always have to have a second career while keeping your art. I used to teach. I also did murals at people's homes to support my art. But I always tried to work with something that was also a passion. I absolutely LOVE to teach. Find the other passion that pay the bills while continue your art work.
