Hi,

St. John's University in Queens NY has a very good Pharm.D program. Its a 6 year doctorate program.
Its very well reputed and gives you a doctorate degree in 6 years only.

Thank you comment icon As mentioned above, it is all about what the program offers and what you are looking for. Are you look for a 6 year Pharm D program or a graduate, 4 year program? Do you want to attend a school with a large campus? Does the program offer research or internship opportunities? I am going to be a 5th year Pharm D student. Feel free to message me for any inquires. Colleges, like people have different personalities. You want to find one that matches your personality. You will find as you go along, that pharmacists work in many different areas.
Before you go too far into this area, it would be a good idea to talk with you school counselor to take an interest and aptitude test to see with which careers your interest and aptitude are aligned. Have your school counselor help you to arrange to talk to graduates of your school who have gone into the identified career area, so you can see what they do and how they got there.
Many people in careers (including pharmacy) went to a community college, because they could get a good education without accumulating a large student loan burden. Talk to the alumni relations person at you local community college to arrange to talk to graduates of that school who went into your identified career area.
To learn more about becoming a pharmacist, you might talk to the pharmacist at your local drug store.
Sent a thank you note to people who help you.
Please keep me posted, as I would be interested in how you are doing with your career exploration.
Best of luck!
