Jasanpreet Kaur’s Answer

Hi Kendria,

Yes, Companies do hire such interns. What matters is that you have to prove that, why are you keen to explore and learn that area. Also, you can Volunteer in some organisation where in they seek for talent who are freshers. Just the difference is mostly Volunteer jobs are unpaid but it offer great amount of experience. You really learn a lot!

Good luck!

L’s Answer

Hi Kendria,

YES! I've seen many of my colleagues who went from one field to another for internships being hired. Quite honestly, I think that is the beauty in an internship. You have a bit more freedom and ease when making the switch, allowing you to explore--your not as committed. So, definitely take this time in your life when you can to explore as many internship opportunities as you can. Companies look at what you can do and what you have done, rather then what field he/she has previous been in.

Kind Regards,

Lora Kim
