Mason, you are already of to a good start. Asking questions and being persistent is a good first step. I'm unfamiliar with where you live, but if you are in a neighborhood with old people, or people too busy to care for their own home you may have opportunity right where you live. However, be safe and involve your parents when engaging your neighbors. There are so many people now days that are very business working or simply do not have time, energy, or ambition to simple jobs around the house. Many of them will pay a fair price simply to avoid doing unpleasant chores such as:

Dog Walking/Pet Car
Pulling Weeds in Flower Beds and Gardens
Raking
Mowing
Washing Windows
Picking up the House
Helping fix computer issues
Washing the car

I was your age many years ago, so I don't know if my advice will apply today. I used to mow lawns for neighbors who didn't have a gardener. Obviously you will need a mower and an edger to do this. You should probably charge slightly less than the amount charged by gardeners. Another possibility is washing cars or when you're a little older, possibly even detailing them. However, you'll need to make sure you know what you're doing. You can get "how-to" information on the internet or by observing how these services are performed at your local car wash.
