What kind of careers can I achieve with in technology?

Emily, as Daniela references, there are so many jobs you can pursue in IT. I started in IT consulting and loved it.

So many potential career path options in IT is fantastic and can also be overwhelming when trying to decide which path to pursue. To begin the journey, start with exploring a few questions:

   You said you like working with computers. Is it the hardware or software parts that you enjoy the most? What is it that you like about either?

   Do you prefer to work alone or with a group of others when you are working with computers?

   
   


3. 
   

   Do you like the 'technology' side or are you also thinking the business-side of technology. Those are two different paths that can cross. To give you an example, when I started in IT consulting, I was a business analyst. A business analyst does not code or work with the hardware but is responsible for gathering requirements for what the system and hardware should do.
