That is a hard one to answer . I'd say my greatest talent is my inquisitiveness. How do things work and why do they work. This is very important in problem solving and troubleshooting. When troubleshooting problems, my second biggest talent is listening to people and being able to determine who has a valid idea or point of view and who doesn't. Lastly, I have the talent to explain to people what I want done and why it needs to be done and then listening to the people assigned to carry out the task for comments or suggestions. You never know when someone might just have a better idea than you. In which case you need to be knowledgeable enough to evaluate the suggestion and flexible enough to implement it - if it truly is a "better way to accomplish the task". I have found this to be an excellent way to motivate individuals assigned to a task and maximize the quality of the work performed.
Hope this helps,
Doug

I can play a lot of instruments and I pick up heavy stuff, but the real thing I think I bring to the table is a love of puzzles and innovative solutions. This might seem like a good thing, but trust me, it can cause problems. Particularly with people who are listening to my ideas and thinking I dropped out of a spaceship. But I spent a lot of my youth apologizing for those things, and I got confident as I was able to solve a lot of problems with these ideas and got a lot of patents and products into the market. I'm less sensitive to that stuff as I get older, so I'd say my talent is being weird. As the Gump rule goes, "Stupid is as stupid does," and since I was able to be stupid and get stuff done, I figure that's my talent. It certainly gets me into trouble and gets people royally p****#* at me, but it seems to work . Not always, mind you, but a lot of the time. Enough to make a lot of people happy. And that's what I think my talent is. Plus, I play the accordion pretty good. Weird again.
