I love my job helping students and adults find their career paths. I speak from the heart when I say I get a great sense of self-worth in helping others succeed. I have been in career counseling for over 30 years from working in the non-profit, the private sector to the collegiate level. I love the college atmosphere. Working with students from their Freshman through their Senior year you get to see the maturity of each student. I have always been a giver and a caring person so doing career counseling was a great fit for me to help others. Its a rewarding job helping those in need on a resume/cover letter or interviewing skills, or perhaps helping them land their dream job. Finding something that you love doing is truly the key to finding a job that will give you great satisfaction. To find that correct fit is to experiment and do volunteer work to see if you like or don't like a job. Remember if you are not happy the majority of the doing a job, than its probably not for you.
