Ricardo’s Answer
I think we always have to look at ourselves to see what is rewarding. Is it money? Is it fame? I have won many awards and many competitions with lots of prize money. The biggest reward is using my skill to help others. If I can teach you skills that will help you on a path to a career. Or help a young family how to cook healthy food on a budget. Or literally cooking to help save lives. I spent 3 weeks in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria helping to feed people and trained people to do the same. Chefs are some of the greatest humanitarians in the world, these are our rewards.
