What are some basics to establishing your own establishment?
I'm 19 years old and currently attending Culinary Vocational school at David L. Carrasco Job Corps in El Paso, Texas. And will be attending Advanced training in San Francisco in 2020. I now currently have had the equivalent of 5 years in California R.O.P. training. My ultimate goal is to run my own restaurant or food establishment. #culinary-arts #cooking #chef #cooking

Opening an establishment on your own can be difficult especially in the covid atmosphere. with a majority of the restaurants closed and millions of chefs out of work, it will be tough, when the covid disappears.
Most small restaurants will either close permanently, or try to open 50% to try to pay the bills with, and they may also go down as well.
But if you have the financial backing, have done your market research, then opening may not be that bad. dont expect to turn a profit immediately since it wont happen, with food and labor cost.
If you are still working on getting the essential things needed for your establishment, make sure that your market analysis is flawless, since your business design/plan has to be for a bank to loan you what you need.
If you need help with a business plan or market research i can help you with the steps.
