Tek Fai’s Answer

I am working in private practice. It depends on how many appointments you have in a day or week, but normally I will have arrange maximally 4 appointments in one day, it needs around 6 hours (including holding sessions and dealing with other works)

Jeanne’s Answer

Hi Aybrianna,

It all depends on what type of setting you work in. A psychologist working at a clinic or a hospital would most likely work at least 40 hours per week. A psychologist in private practice can decide their own hours and set their own schedule. I am in private practice. I see patients M-Th and on Fridays I do record-keeping, insurance billing, correspondence and non-therapy tasks. My total work hours for the week are 35-40. I can decide how many hours I want to work and work more or less.
