How can an MBBS graduate become a licensed therapist without pursuing a full psychology degree like a Bachelor’s or Master’s?
I’m currently in medical school and passionate about becoming a therapist, not a psychiatrist. I’ve learned that an MPhil in Clinical Psychology is a direct path, but I’m worried I may not meet the eligibility requirements, as most programs require a strong foundation in psychology. Are there alternative pathways for MBBS graduates to transition into therapy while minimizing time spent on additional degrees? Any guidance on how to proceed would be deeply appreciated!
What are easier ways of studying if you get easily distracted ?
I have experienced trouble with things such as staying on task, focusing, and remaining in one specific place when studying or doing assignments. No matter how clean a room is or empty I end up focusing on such small detail about the room or just lose focus quickly and want to move or go somewhere else. The only thing that I have found to work is studying in the dark as I can't see distractions around me and as long as there's no noise I'm fine. Though this has lead to my eyes becoming strained and red as I'm trying to see my work in the dark. My mom has suggested doing things such as getting evaluated to see if there are things that can help me but I have been unwilling as I feel as it's just a fact that I can't focus but I don't know what to do.

#Fall24 Why do I feel such a strong pull to go back into Healthcare?
I wanted to become a nurse but could not because my daughter was a preemie, born at 2 pounds 8 ounces. Thank God I am proud to say that she is a college student and pursuing her own educational goals. I feel a strong pull to go back and pursue where I left off. While she was growing up, I did get a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, but I still feel this pull to go back into Healthcare. Is this odd? Thank you for taking your time and reading my post.

How to navigate the unfamiliar and demanding nature of counseling school age children without falling apart?
Hi there, I am currently completing my second/last internship for my Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy. My internship last year was with adults with acute and chronic mental illness. This year, I landed a last-minute placement with a nonprofit organization that places graduate Interns in schools. I am placed at an elementary school as a school counselor, however, I have never worked with school-age children in any capacity. I have a brief experience as a preschool assistant and have taken multiple developmental psych classes. The nature of the internship is going to be very hands-off (me doing everything from ground zero) from asking for consent forms to pulling students out of classrooms for a session which is putting me in a vulnerable place. I am not a very assertive individual. How to navigate the unfamiliar and demanding nature of this new experience without falling apart? P.S. I am expected to begin next week. Thank you!

I’m going to be a senior in High School, I have straight A’s and have taken honors classes since ninth grade. I’ve only taken AP language so far, and I think I will only take AP Human Geography next year. I will also take dual enrollment classes. How many dual enrollment classes should I take? *I want to be a science major* Keep in mind that I go to a private school with 10 AP options including -AP psych which I can’t take because of scheduling conflicts -AP Biology (our only AP science) - AP stats, US history, Government and politics, macroeconomics, art
What jobs can I work on that will help me get into and prepare for mental health counseling or clinical psychology graduate school?
I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and I'm looking for a mental health or psychology-related entry-level job where I can learn and that will help me have a better chance at getting into grad school. I am particularly interested in counseling psychology, talk therapy. I see a lot of behavioral technician jobs around, not a lot of mental health technician jobs. What would someone in the field suggest?
