Hi, Julian! In my experience, most Engineering schools are better in certain areas than others-- though the list posted by Sachin is certainly an amazing list of top-level engineering schools. I think what's more important for you is to determine what type of engineering you're interested in pursuing. There aren't, in my opinion, a large number of schools that are good for both aerospace and civil engineering, for instance. So, I think you'd be better off determining whether you'd like to work with airplanes, or computers, or electrical devices, or buildings, etc-- then search for best _______ engineering school. Then-- make sure you visit, and talk to faculty members, and students, before you make your decision. Good luck!
