Charles’s Answer

Here at Dell Computer my team includes a number of people that are titled Business Analyst. They do extensive work with computer systems. They provide technical data and lead testing teams to perform UAT or User Acceptance Training. They lead teams and technical projects and it is very satisfying work.

Wish you the best

Jamie’s Answer

Computer systems analysts, sometimes called systems architects, study an organization’s current computer systems and procedures, and design solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively. They bring business and information technology (IT) together by understanding the needs and limitations of both.

Aakash’s Answer

Hi Hector,

While there is a industry wide definition for system analyst, it can also vary company by company. When I first started my career, my title was systems analyst and I was responsible for understanding the functional aspects of an application (how data flowed, what systems it was connected to, what features it had to offer, etc.). I was also expected to understand what business goals my organization was trying to achieve and proposing changes that would enable us to meet those goals. Sometimes, my work even blurred into the business analyst world, where I was expected to assist in defining and writing requirement specification document (what are our asks).

Let me know if you have any more questions!
