This will depend on where you live, the years of experience you have, and what area within SW you are practicing. As much as folks say getting a Master's degree will boost your pay, it actually doesn't (at least not in my experience). I worked as a school social worker, and this required a Master's degree. The starting pay was $42,000. Then I worked as a county social worker in the same city, and this only required a Bachelor's degree. The starting pay was $53,000.
