James’s Answer
Richard describes it well. I actually specialized in Aeronautics as part of my Engineering Physics Bachelors degree at the University of British Columbia. An aeronautics program can be challenging from a mathematical, physics, and computer programming perspective, but is just as rewarding in terms of tying together theory and practice, tools and reality.
Richard’s Answer
Aeronautical engineering is, simply stated, the engineering of aircraft and air (fluid) flow science. A degree in this major is used to design aircraft, avionics, and even propulsion systems.
