Gregory’s Answer

Engineering is a very technical field that requires a solid understanding of math and science. Becoming a engineer requires a bachelor of science degree from a four year college. After graduation, you take the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam to become an EIT (Engineer In Training), then several years later (depending on the State you live in) you can take the PE exam to become a professional engineer. Some people don't take all the tests but go get the degree from college. Others get advanced degrees in Engineering. The first step is to learn as much as you can about math and science, then go to college and get your engineering degree.

Nicole’s Answer

Hi Arolys P. I see that you posted this question a little while ago so I hope my answer to you (or others who may read this response) is still helpful.

To add to Gregory's awesome answer, in my opinion, successful engineers, regardless of the type of engineering, are those who have a keen interest in solving problems and/or want to make things better. I don't suggest that individuals can "study" their way into wanting to make things better but if an individual demonstrates a desire to know, within themselves, that they can improve things (and even better if they can demonstrate ways that that have improved something on a job or for other people), that internal knowing can be a great starter as a "requirement for being an engineer".

Hope you find this answer helpful and best of luck to you!
