Whitney’s Answer
This is your opportunity to sell yourself. Everyone who is interviewing for the position can likely weld, but are they coachable? Hard working? Willing to help others when the company brings on new team members? This question allows you to show that you are the best fit, so I think it's important to ask the interviewer what they are looking for early in the interview. Then when this question comes along, you can frame your answer based on what they are wanting out of this position outside of the hard skill of welding.
Hopefully this is helpful, and best of luck to you!

You want to answer this question by impressing upon them your knowledge about welding (skills and experience), your interpersonal skills ( self starter, dependable, & a fast learner), and your eagerness to work for that company (it helps to read up on the company). Best of luck!

This is the question when you "sell" yourself. If multiple people are going for the same job, they can all weld right, so WHY should they pick you?
Talk about your strong traits and how those will translate into their business and the job you are applying for. Be specific, everyone is a "hard worker" and "go getter" if you know what I mean.
