Elvir Joao’s Answer

Other than what was mentioned or advised from Jennifer, Architecture school is very intense and time consuming, but it is really fun when you make friends, time management it's crucial, and waking up early in the morning is important so you can do a lot work done. I actually studied architecture in my undergrad at the University of Michigan but I transferred as a junior, so I believe than you're in a better position than I was. I actually visited the OSU architecture school before, I went to see a friend there who I met in conference so it is a pretty cool building.

Jennifer’s Answer

Hi, Nathan!

You'll want to check out the architecture and admissions pages at OSU for the latest information.

For more information about The Ohio State University's Architecture program, check out http://undergrad.osu.edu/majors-and-academics/majors/detail/16.

You can find information about the admissions process to OSU on the following site: http://undergrad.osu.edu/apply/freshmen-columbus.

Doing well in your rigorous high school courses and developing your skills in an effort to put forth the best application to OSU will help in your endeavor to join the entering class. If you haven't already, you should consider scheduling a campus visit where you can tour the facilities, talk to professors and students, and gain insight into the admissions process from the counselors.

Wishing you the best in your academic endeavors!
Thank you comment icon I agree with everything Jennifer said! With all that in mind, make sure that this is the right architecture school for you! Do you want to become a licensed architect? Ask: Is this school NAAB / NCARB accredited? Are there portfolio-based scholarships? Ask: What type of portfolio content should I include in the application process? Is an internship required for graduation? Ask: What type of experience can this school offer me to apply when getting a job after college? Does the school offer specialties or concentrations? (Note: you might not need a specialty / concentration) Ask Yourself: What most interests you about architecture (urban design, historic restoration, etc.)? Best of luck! Emily Melcher
