Steps to become a landscape architect

I am interested in the job of landscape architect.
While I don't acquire a design or architect relevant degree
And I major in Urban Studies.
Should I get a master degree of landscape architect or to work for relevant jobs?

Luciano’s Answer

I have a suggestion that you first try to get to know the area better, either through a volunteer work or internship in the area.
Before that, look for someone from that area in your city.
Try to schedule a visit and explain what you would like to know.
This can help you in this decision, especially because, in this pandemic moment, this area has also undergone changes.

Teresa’s Answer

I suggest finding a company nearby to volunteer for before going on to get a degree ...that way you can learn what you like and don't like about the job first! You might find some additional opportunities to learn by doing....then pin-pointing where you need further education!

Teresa recommends the following next steps:

See if you can job shadow a landscape architect for a day ....or interview them
