What is the difference between high school life and college life

I will be graduating high school in June, and attending college in the fall. Therefore, I want to have an idea what it is like to be in college #college #teaching #teacher #counselor #college-student

It's been a long time since I made that transition. :) but I believe that in college, you are likely to have a lot more autonomy and independence. That means you'll have to make more decisions on your own, and use good judgment as often as you can.

You'll meet lots of new people, which is fun. You'll have more control over the classes you take and subjects you study, your schedule, your extracurricular activities. Sometimes all the choices can seem overwhelming, but it's a great time to try new things.

I suggest you keep an open mind. And try to not over-schedule yourself. Leave time for studying on your own (homework assignments may be less rigid but more time-consuming) or with friends, and don't forget to eat/sleep/take care of yourself. Trust your instincts, but don't hesitate to ask others for advice (about professors, or activities, or places to eat, or other people).

Hope this helps! It's an exciting time and I'm sure you'll do great.

This is a great question. I think it varies a little for everyone but for me it was my first time being away from my family for a long period of time and not spending all of my time playing sports. I think for me I had come from such a busy schedule that I didn’t want to get too involved in college but I would highly recommend getting involved and working towards leadership positions. Also question what you believe and start to form your own opinions and learn to support and live by them. I have found much joy finding my spiritual path and think that’s something allot of people don’t think much about during college but it will help you with your well-being and outlook on life as well as help to shape your decisions.
