What are the future options with 12th science besides engineering?

Many students ask this question regarding good courses other than Engineering. I tell them that they have good number of choices to choose from. So, I’ve decided to write a brief blog post about some courses that can be done after 12th science, other than Engineering. Note that this article is for students who have takes mathematics group.

GOOD COURSES AFTER 12TH SCIENCE, OTHER THAN ENGINEERING

B SC

Don’t underestimate this course. A B Sc Degree followed by an M Sc Degree from a good college can be much beneficial to you and help build a promising career. The best part about this course is that there is immense scope in research field. Some of the well known and promising B Sc disciplines are-

BBA

BBA is like a course just below the level of MBA. It stands for Bachelor of Business Administration. BBA followed by MBA is a good prospect for mathematics group students also. Doing just BBA may also help you land a job. It is a 3 years long Bachelor’s Degree course.

BBA+MBA INTEGRATED COURSE

It is a 5 years long integrated course. On completing the course, the Graduate will possess dual degrees- BBA and MBA. Thus, pursuing this course, students won’t have to separately apply for an MBA Degree!

BMS (BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES)

BMS is a very good management course. 12th Science stream students are eligible to pursue this course. The course duration is 3 years. BMS and BBA both are management courses. But BMS course focuses more in traditional management education and elements of Commerce also.

BHM (BACHELOR OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT)

It is a 4 years long Undergraduate program. It is a highly job oriented course. This course prepares students to take on roles and jobs in the Hotel and Travel Industry. Diploma and certificate version programs of this course are also available. But pursuing the Bachelor’s Degree course from a recognized Institute will be the best step.

LAW COURSES

Other than engineering, science and management, 12th Science stream students are also eligible to pursue law education (the integrated format). Integrated law courses can be pursued right after 12th. Some examples of integrated law courses are-

12th Science (Mathematics group) students may go for CPL training right after 12th. CPL training is expensive. Students must also pass Pilot Aptitude test and other medical examinations to be considered eligible to undergo training.

This list can go on and on. All you need is to figure out what you want, what interests you. If you google with a keyword that you like and add a "degree" or "course" with it, you will probably find that in some part of the world it is being taught.

I'm assuming you didnt take Biology, so the below options are for PCM only:
N.D.A. (National Defense Academy)- You can join either the army, navy or airforce.
B. Arch - Become an architect
B.Sc - In any of your favorite subjects from the top institutes in India or Abroad. It can help you take the first step towards a career towards education, for becoming a lecturer or professor.
Bachelor of Planning & Design - You can opt for designing courses such as production design, automobile design, industrial design, etc from a reputed national/ government or private university in India & abroad.
B.C.A - It is an alternate if you want to opt for computer applications.
Additionally, you can simply go for a B.E./B.tech from a good university, followed by:
I.E.S - For a public sector job
I.A.S - For civil services
Merchant Navy
M.E./ M.tech
M.S from abroad
M.B.A.
M.C.A.
