Should I take AP Environmental or Careers in Education?
I need help!! I'm going into 11th grade next year and I need to pick between these two classes! APES gives me rigor and another AP to add onto my list but overall I want to major in elementary education in college so I feel like I can gain more experience. My counselor said that I can take Careers in Ed my senior year and that APES will look better and counts for my GPA while Careers in Ed doesn't. Yet he said if I won't be happy take Careers in Ed. I feel like I just want to have a class to enjoy and look foward to instead of a class I would dread but I can't stop thinking about what colleges like more class difficulty or experience? Please help!

What suicide hotlines can a 16(soon 17) year old join ?
What suicide hotlines can I join as a 16 year old? (Turning 17 in late-march) I am bilingual, I speak both french and english. This expands my reach of possible organisations out to canada (that being said, I'd personally want to avoid France because I'm rather disconnected from french/european culture as an American migrant). I know that there are some organisations out there that do provide opportunities for 16 year olds. After a ton of searching(like a month worth), I have only found 2 that I can actually join: https://samaritanshope.org/our-services/hey-sam/volunteer-with-hey-sam/ https://calyouth.org/ I have applied to both but I'd still like to apply to more just in case. Every organisation out there either doesn't accept 16 year olds, or doesn't provide online tutoring/work. It has been so incredibly unsatisfying to find an organisation that had a low minimum age bar yet was located on the other side of the US. If it helps, I live in San Fransisco. So the only possibilities are: 1. Organisation that's very close to SF and does accept people of my age(I looked through all of them as far as I know) 2. Organisation that offers online training and work for people of my age either in US or Canada(More likely)

How do you get referrals from other doctors or peers as a LCP/counselor/art therapist ?
Hello! This is a follow up question, but for background I am enrolling in a Maters program that will allow me to graduate with credentials to be certified as an LCP with a focus in art therapy. I would love to one day open private practice as well to offer art therapy. I’m curious how you establish and maintain referrals from other doctors or contacts who will suggest your practice to clients. Specifically, how are these connections made? What does this partnership entail? Why would others be incentivized to recommend your practice? What are they getting out of it? Thank you in advance for any guidance! I really hope to understand this amazing career!

If Procrastinate it, do I really love it?
If someone procrastinates in activities that he think is what he wants to have a future in or is what he likes to do, then what he think is wrong? Because I hear all the time to do what you love and a person can do what he loves for hours and I think its not wrong. I have seen many peoples do the same activity that I think I love to do for hours without giving up, may be because they really love it. The thing is I procrastinate to the activity in my case coding which i believe i love because the sole purpose i started to learn it was to create stuffs not for some high paying job or just because its cool or hard. But as for months I am procrastinating to it my believe is breaking that I like coding. I have read we tend to procrastinate to things that are boring or because there are things which give more pleasure/dopamine. Which I believe is my case 'Phone Addiction' which i believe is worse addiction one can have, I have tried many times but failed. I don't want to lose the only thing i love because of it, I don't want to regret in future that I didn't do what i should have. Procrastination has now became a habit of mine. And its really slowly destroying me. I literally have mood swings, at a moment I think 'I should do it, learn, complete my backlog these things are important for life and i don't have much time.' and just after some moment I think 'I will do it later, whats the problem, i have got so much time'. I hate these things about myself.

How to navigate the unfamiliar and demanding nature of counseling school age children without falling apart?
Hi there, I am currently completing my second/last internship for my Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy. My internship last year was with adults with acute and chronic mental illness. This year, I landed a last-minute placement with a nonprofit organization that places graduate Interns in schools. I am placed at an elementary school as a school counselor, however, I have never worked with school-age children in any capacity. I have a brief experience as a preschool assistant and have taken multiple developmental psych classes. The nature of the internship is going to be very hands-off (me doing everything from ground zero) from asking for consent forms to pulling students out of classrooms for a session which is putting me in a vulnerable place. I am not a very assertive individual. How to navigate the unfamiliar and demanding nature of this new experience without falling apart? P.S. I am expected to begin next week. Thank you!

Does where you get a masters in school counseling have any effect on where you can work afterwards ?
Do certain schools carry more weight than others in terms of physical degree? Like if I have the same gpa in either school, am I more likely to get a better or higher paying job if one of the schools was considered better or more prestigious? And likewise, would going to a cheaper program for the sake of saving money affect my chances of employment with better or higher paying jobs? I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth spending all that money on a “better” school/program or not bc it’s a lot of money we’re considering here and a lot more years of debt. Worth taking into consideration. All help is appreciated!!

Can you get an associate's degree in one subject and a bachelor's in another?
I am an aspiring LCSW in sophomore year. I am taking my associates in college this year, but I don't know if I should major in Psychology and English or Sociology and English (I have to take a college class for English, but It was also recommended that I take another dual college class as well). In college I want to major in Sociology, and I was wondering that if I were to take a Psychology class would it look perplexing on my College application.
