Is Computer engineering a difficult field?

I'm asking this because I'm interested in it but I do know if it would be too hard for me since I have no experience in this area. #engineering #science #computer

John’s Answer

Sometimes going with what you find easy to understand maybe the best for you in the long run. However a challenge is always interesting.

Wael’s Answer

Difficulty is relative. For example, mechanical physics come easy to me. During my freshmen year people were struggling while I was getting As! On the other hand, controls is a subject I did not enjoy much nor did well at.

The link below is the computer engineering curriculum. Check it out.

Pete’s Answer

Hi Kerri,

Computer engineering can be difficult but, difficulty is relative to an individual. If you have an interest in computers and engineering, then feed that interest to determine if you would like to study it and perhaps start a career in computer engineering, computer science, or software engineering. Start by reading a Wikipedia page on it and also check out links to the computer engineering programs at colleges in your area. Remember, just because other people think it to be difficult, that doesn't mean it is. Also, people tend to equate difficulty with how much work is involved in any given subject. There will certainly be a lot of work in a computer engineering major and it will have its own difficult concepts but, overcoming and mastering a difficult subject can be highly fulfilling, satisfying and rewarding.

Tim’s Answer

In order to really excel in the field, you would want to be in the top 1 or 2 percent of all people in both math and logic. Only you know if that would be too difficult for you.
