To make any money in psychology you'll need at least a master's degree, with a doctorate being preferable. That'll take you maybe nine years, with four years of undergraduate work, two years of grad school, and about three more for your doctorate. So don't expect the money to start pouring in right away. It also depends what you want to use your degrees for. Do you want to work with the staff of a professional team, a college team? A minor in sports medicine might not suffice. If you've got the grades why not go for a medical degree, an M.D., and specialize in sports medicine or maybe orthopedics? You should look also into physical therapy or occupational therapy. Jobs in those two fields pay very well and don't require the long preparation of an M.D. In addition to being a writer and editor I have an M.S. in counseling and guidance and have worked as a student development instructor in a community college counseling department. So, yes, you can get a well-paying job in the fields you mentioned, although "well-paying" is relative. But if you're willing to put in the time and hit the books to make the most out of your education, you can be successful in just about field you want.
