What design programs are most often used by engineers?

I am already proficient in the use of AutoCAD and SketchUp, and have some experience with SolidWorks. I was wondering if there were any other programs like them that I should try to learn how to use that would be helpful in the future. #engineer

Hi Michael,

This is very good question. You can learn AutoCAD, MS Words, MS Excel, Revit or Navisworks if you are going in Arch or Structural engineering field. Good Luck!

I work for Autodesk who makes AutoCad and you can use our software free when in school so explore our website and try out some other software that might be of interest to you. Good luck to you

  3. next depending on engineer type if civil would be water pipe hydraulic modelling programs
