There are so many options. Start looking at colleges that have a good sports program esp. in Basketball.
Do you prefer staying in NM or can your parents afford out of state tuition? Arizona and Texas have great colleges that cater to your needs.
Jobs will be dependent on what you like to study? Math or Liberal Arts or Science or Music or Sports or Business

Dylan,
Lavanya's correct. There are so many options. If you are able to go out of state, then I would suggest visiting as many schools as possible both in state and out. That is the best way to see if you like a school or not. A lot will depend on where you feel comfortable and "at home", because the sports will most likely be there regardless. I wanted to answer your question, because I have an 18 year old son that is a freshman this year at Clemson University. I graduated from there as well, and I always wanted to be a part of one of the teams while I went to school there. Unfortunately, most of the jobs were for older adults back then, and students weren't really a part of the teams. But times have changed dramatically. Students play a huge role in college sports teams these days. My son was a really good baseball player. His senior season was cut short last spring due to Covid, so he was really upset and has really missed all the things that are great about being on the team. He has already met with members of the baseball staff, and is going to help the baseball team this season with equipment, practice, and with social media content. There are so many ways to continue to be involved with sports, so be excited about that. Not to mention, all of these activities can lead you into a career in so many things related to sports. For instance, my son is really interested in sports medicine, as well as, sports administration in college athletic departments. But there are countless more jobs out there. There is a ton of opportunities to take advantage of if that is your passion. Good Luck!
