If you take courses and time/efforts you spend as investment, you are seeking “best” ROI here. The future is always hard to predict, you are the only invariant. Investment on yourself which makes you grow faster is generally a good idea. Find what drives you and what genuinely interests you are more important than any specific disciplines or courses.
Secondly, stick to your long term goal for years, be persistent and be friends with time. The power of focus and compound effect will show over time.
Lastly, on computer topic, it is such a broad one. In general, I think we are under a transition from classic internet to so call “web3”. Blockchain technology, artificial intelligence and quantum computing could be three pillars for next decades. To establish a good foundation, it is a good idea to browse thru any good open course curriculum and get basics. To stay ahead of curve, it is necessary to join related discord/telegram/reddit, subscribe to medium, mirror.xyz etc. Latest trends and information won’t be in text book years later. Finally join some projects and hands on. You will learn much faster thru practice.

Growth is the key word here. Look for a career with high growth rate; however, that career need to match your skills and passion. If I were you, I would take several career tests and research the results.
