Wael’s Answer

It all depends on the career you are interested in. If you want to be a doctor you are going to need math, biology, and chemistry. If you want to be a software engineer you are going to need math mostly. Lastly, if you are interested in teaching you are going to need to be very good in the subject you are going to be teaching.

Candace’s Answer

Definitely depends on the field of interest, but for me the classes that were the most useful for my career were English and Communications classes, as well as classes on Audio Technology and Business. I am in the Music Business field, so all of these subjects really helped give me a well rounded picture of how to be a professional in the way I communicate and do business.

Whatever field you're interested in, I think it's important to think about how different parts of the job might be affected by classes that you wouldn't necessarily consider related to the subject.

Hope this helps!

Shelby’s Answer

I am in my final semester of college and am currently in training to become a teacher. For me, the most useful courses were ones about childhood adolescence. It helped me understand children in ways I would have never thought about. Other classes that were helpful were ones that showed differentiation; meaning, those classes showed how to make instruction applicable to all types of students. For example, I took a course focused on accommodating my lessons for teaching ESOL students among me English-speaking students. The ESOL students would get the necessary changes to the lesson, while the English-speaking students were in no way held back by these changes.

It all depends on what specific field you want to go into, but if you decide on education, I sincerely recommend these types of courses!!
