The minimum eligibility criterion for the undergraduate course in this field is 10+2 with 50% marks. The graduates can go for Post Graduate courses in fashion designing. As a part of selection process, some institutes conducts written test, situation test, group discussion and interview. Fashion designers require being artistic, creative as well as posses the ability to translate ideas in sketches. They must have keen sense of colour, visualizing skills and knowledge of market trends.


Apart from this one can also go for Master degree courses as well e.g. Masters in Fashion Technology

Along with being a fashion major, it is important that you take business or entrepreneurship courses if you would like to open your own business. These courses will help you manage the business side of things. Graphic design may also play a key role in developing a creative website to display your business.
