Hi Shradha,
To be an architect you need to have good drawing skills but it would be basically lines and curves.... this is the basic. However you will need to understand how to make proportionate drawings.
eg. If you are drawing something that needs to turn out to be 20 feet high and 40 feet wide, then you will have to depict that drawing on a piece of paper that will be in inches. So your drawing will have a comparison in centimeters or maybe inches.
Hence the basic differentiation or recognition of putting your ideas on a smaller scale for a larger implementation.
Basic need for those who are personally going to draw
1. Steady hands
2. Focused attention
3. Clear understanding of the desired results
4. Visualizing the outcome and being able to articulate the same on the drawing board.
Wishing you all the best for the future. Should you feel the need to ask more questions, I would be glad to answer any of them.

Buy a ruler or straight edge and you should be good. Drawing skills are a bonus and can help give you an edge when conceptualizing, but it wont be a "must" unless required by the firm you attempt to get into (if you're aiming for a high end firm, yes, you will need to work on your drawing skills)

Hi Shradha,
Abdul Wahaab gave you a great advise. Most importanly you need to keep practicing it. Drawing skills cannot be a one day or two day and coming an experts. Also, start with lines and curves, and slow. For begining, I will try use tracing paper put on top of a complete drawing to give yourself an idea of the portotion. This first step should only be done once or twice. After start drawing it yourself without tracing paper. Find an image or go out and start drawing buildings. These steps will help you to improve your drawing skills.
Hope this helps!
