This isn't a podcast, but personally I like to sign up for online classes with https://www.edx.org/ They are super interesting and it's a great opportunity to hear from professors from some of the leading universities on all kinds of topics. They have such a wide variety of courses to take and it's very informal.

I've really got into podcasts over the last few years. They make my time much more efficient. I listen to them getting ready in the morning, driving to work, and during workouts. Ted Talks are always outstanding on both, the topics (because they matter) and the speakers (because they're so well versed on the subject). They are also short so it's easy to listen to an entire presentation at once. Podcasts are a growing at a rapid rate so there is a good chance you can one on specific industries you are interested in. In my case that's sports, media, and health & wellness. For general self-development and thinking two podcasts I listen to regularly are The Tim Ferriss Show and The Joe Rogan Experience. The format of both of these are similar in that they each interview thinkers/innovators in various aspects of life for an hour or more by informal conversation. Both are also very popular and constantly rank among the top of itunes podcast charts.
