Do all colleges make you take a placement test after they have accepted you and you confirmed the acceptance before the fall?
The other day, my Pre-cal honors teacher was telling us about how the seniors in our class should take what they learned with her and bring it with them to their placement tests that they will take after a college accepts them. I wanted to confirm on here if all colleges require you to take a placement test. Of course, I will work very hard in Pre-cal nonetheless, but I just wanted to know if I will have to take that test to show what I have learned to colleges. #college #college-admissions #testing #college-recruiting

Hi Gloria --
Don't fear placement testing. This is a guide colleges use to gauge students knowledge and help them get you in the right environment at the right level. If done correctly this can only assist you in succeeding.
Good Luck.

Many colleges do math placement tests. They just don't want to put you in a class you won't succeed in, however at my college, if a student scored past testing into calc 1 the student needed to have credit to back it up (IB, AP, or concurrent enrollment). I've heard of other testing, but, where I went, we only had to take the math placement.
