Take advantage of all the free things out there for you, whether that is setting up a free website, writing your own content and even taking photography of whatever sports you like. You can set up your portfolio on places like Flickr for free as well. Just think about what part of sports you like, and start doing research on what jobs/careers are offered with it.

Hi Wayne,
Most important thing, DO YOUR RESEARCH and KNOW HOW TO FIND IT. It is not always about how good you are on TV or the Internet, it is also about knowing what you are talking about and doing your research. ESPECIALLY when it comes to being a sports analyst, you need to be familiar with your content and know what type of audience you will be delivering it too.
