Is there a career in the engineering field that specifically does green energy work?

I am very interested in the environment and would like the work that I do to have something to do with keeping it "green". Ways to get water to drought ridden areas, cleaning plastic out of the oceans, making buildings more efficient, etc. #engineer #civil-engineering #architectural

Hi Kostin - I would recommend looking more into Environmental engineering which is a specialization in Civil Engineering. This field usually goes more indepth into chemistry and biology classes and you study fluid mechanics, hydraulics and more environmental related courses.

ABDOU’s Answer

Hi there,
This is a very interesting question.
You have to know that almost every engineering field does green energy work --> Energy (wind, solar, geothermal, thermal...etc.) in civil ( environment sanitation, hydrology, energy efficiency,...etc.). Don't forget that engineer means "design and build with respect to the nature"
