What are some of the misleading information that is told when going into welding.

I'm currently a student trying to get more insight about welding, and i'm basically wondering if there is maybe any false/deceiving information that was told to you going into the welding career, or any false information you hear going around, that i could be aware of. #welding #career-advice

Melissa’s Answer

Hi Joel,

While I do not have experience specifically in the welding industry, I can tell you that the trades are highly valued, in-demand, and pay well. There is much recent discussion in the news about the need for skilled tradespeople and income potential for those in the trades. So the biggest misconception that is being "debunked" is that a four-year college degree is needed to make a good income. Again, not my specific area of expertise, but an important topic in the news today, so I wanted to jump in and give you encouragement.

Melissa
