Is being a intelligence analyst for the FBI a good choice?
My name is Nick, I work with kali Linux and really enjoy ethical hacking and cyber defense and anything with computers from MDM bypass and iCloud lock bypass on iPhones. I'm really good with electronics and can learn fast. I'm wondering if this would be a good career choice based on pay and how much I would enjoy it or if you would recommend another career #career #college #computer #computer-science

Hi Nicholas
Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Defensive Security, etc. these roles and skills are in high demand and would be a good career choice regardless of whom you work for: gov, industry or academic research.
Cyber security is one of the fastest growing engineering fields today and not limited to hacking.
For example, you could work from developing defensive technologies for a particular industry to doing cyber forensics to trace where an attack originated or how it works.
Definitely a great career choice.
I recommend you read through this site, it has very good information on Cyber Security including career paths and options

Hi Nick,
Since the FBI is a part of the government the pay will generally be lower than other jobs in the same field. If pay is something that's very important to you I would recommend entering the private sector instead.
With that said, it sounds like a position at the FBI could be a good fit for you. If it is something that truly interests you and you are willing to earn a bit less than you may have otherwise then by all means pursue this career.
